Free & Open-Source Doom Engine on Android with Freedoom Assets and Custom WAD Support Due to recent Google Play policy changes, the latest update could not be distributed. That update included newer Freedoom WADs and language fixes. Because the required build tools are now deprecated, active development has stopped. The app remains free and highly functional, and the project is open for community takeover via GitHub. This Android app combines the open-source Doom engine with the Freedoom project’s original, community-created assets to deliver a fully free and open-source FPS experience. It’s ideal for players searching for a classic Doom engine Android port, an offline single-player shooter, or a free open-source FPS on mobile. The app is compatible with most fan-made WADs from the idgames archive, allowing you to play custom Doom levels on Android. While support continues for existing users, Beloko’s “DeltaTouch” is recommended as an alternative. This project is a fork of nvllsvm’s GZDoom-Android port and is not affiliated with Id Software, Bethesda, or related publishers.
